The Langley Farm Team topped the SSB SSB Tar Heels by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3. Langley had 3 runs cross the plate in the 4th inning when they had 4 base hits. The key at-bat was by Jolbert Cabrera who quieted the home crowd when he rifled a three-run blast (his 3rd of the season). SSB was out-hit by Langley, 11 hits to 7. Pedro Martinez(4-1) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Eddie Guardado earned his 1st save. Tom Glavine(4-1) ended up with the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 4 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings. 'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Martinez, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
